RN to BS in Nursing Program
The RN to BS in Nursing Program offers graduating Associate degree/Diploma nursing students and licensed registered nurses an opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with an option to take graduate courses to accelerate professional development. A primarily asynchronous, online program with clinical practicums in New Jersey, the curriculum at Rutgers is specifically designed to enhance the knowledge and skill set of practicing nurses and advance personal and professional career and educational goals. Upon completion, students will graduate with increased knowledge, experience and expertise in the areas such as evidence-based practice, patient safety, population health, leadership and technology integration.
For academically strong students interested in pursuing Master’s or Doctoral degrees, the Rutgers program offers a unique opportunity for students to simultaneously earn graduate credits (up to 12 credits) to facilitate a smooth transition to graduate studies.
Although the core nursing courses are primarily online, other undergraduate and graduate coursework may be offered in traditional classroom or hybrid settings. Most of the courses that require meetings are offered on the Newark and New Brunswick campuses.
