Aline M. Holmes is the former senior vice president for clinical affairs at the New Jersey Hospital Association in Princeton. She has worked as a chief nursing officer/chief operating officer for several hospitals in Washington DC, Chicago and New Jersey prior to joining the hospital association. She is a veteran, having served in the US Navy Nurse Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. Her work in quality and patient safety has been her focus for the past twenty years, directing the NJ Hospital Improvement Innovation Network, funded by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and establishing the NJ Perinatal Quality Collaborative with funding from CDC. Dr. Holmes has been a member of several state and national nursing organizations, and is currently on the boards of the American College of Medical Quality and the American Board of Medical Quality. She is a reviewer for the American Journal of Medical Quality and has published on those topics. She has served on healthcare boards and is an appointed member of the NJ Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (NJACSW).
