Michael McLaughlin, DNP, CRNA/APN, is an assistant professor and assistant program director of the Rutgers Nurse Anesthesia program. Dr. McLaughlin has more than 6 years of academic teaching experience, and more than a decade of clinical anesthesia practice, the first three years of which were spent at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He is a staff CRNA and the educational coordinator at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. McLaughlin’s area of expertise is in neuro and pediatric anesthesia. He has a special interest in post anesthesia delirium in pediatric patients. McLaughlin’s experience also includes, more recently, the intubation and care of COVID-19 positive patients.
