A pediatric acute care certified nurse practitioner with over 13 years in advanced practice nursing and over 18 years in pediatric nursing in various surgical and critical care settings, both in the US and the United Kingdom. She currently holds the rank of clinical instructor. She also teaches across the curriculum in the undergraduate nursing program. She has dedicated the majority of her clinical practice to children with congenital heart disease and acute surgical conditions, with a focus on bedside education for nurses to improve quality outcomes for children undergoing surgical interventions. Current hospital/clinical appointments include NYU Langone Medical Center in Manhattan, NY, The Bristol-Meyers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, and Jersey Shore University Hospital in Neptune, NJ. She is active in the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), serving as both past president of the NJ Chapter and working on national initiatives. She is also the course coordinator and creator of the Pediatric Acute Care APN Review course for Barkley and Associates.

Education & Training

She earned her BSN from The College of New Jersey, MSN at the University of Pennsylvania (Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Practitioner Program), and is currently a Doctoral candidate in the Rutgers University DNP Program, Practice Model.

Research/Scholarly Interests

The advancement and incorporation of simulation into pediatric advanced practice nursing curriculums to better align with the AACN Essentials surrounding competency-based education. Enhanced recovery after surgery for pediatric patients.

Clinical Specialties
