At the Rutgers School of Nursing, Jane serves as Director of the Office of Academic Success, where she oversees programs, budgets, and staff dedicated to advancing student learning and retention. She develops and delivers academic coaching, workshops, and resources tailored to the nursing curriculum and builds partnerships with Rutgers Writing Centers, Learning Centers, and Libraries to connect students with a wide range of academic support. Jane also leads the recruitment and training of professional staff, program assistants, and alumni tutors, ensuring high-quality support for both undergraduate and graduate nursing students.
Jane Ferrick earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Women’s Studies from the University of Connecticut and her Master of Science in College Student Personnel Administration (Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration) from Buffalo State College. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Design of Learning Environments at Rutgers University.
With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, Jane has held leadership roles at Rider University, Stony Brook University, and Buffalo State College. She is active in national professional organizations, including the College Reading and Learning Association, where she served as president, and the Consortium for Nursing Academic Coaches.
