Dr. Arcilla has over 40 years of experience in nursing both on the clinical side and as an educator. Since 2016, she has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Entry to Baccalaureate Nursing at the Rutgers School of Nursing.
Dr. Arcilla’s career has included over 20 years of work in community health nursing, where she has helped patients transition across health care settings and prevent hospitalizations. She has labored to improve quality of care in long-term settings and help patients remain independent in their communities to the greatest degree possible.
Dr. Arcilla earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Downstate Medical Center College of Nursing, her master’s degree in health services administration from Central Michigan University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Scholarly interest includes improving the health of populations.
