Ms. Daina Bungs is a Project Manager within the Rutgers School of Nursing. Ms. Bungs returned to the University in 2015 and her current position is a joint role which bridges the complex demands of executive leadership across the school and Specialty/Program Directors for the Division of Advanced Nursing Practice.

Before joining the division, she worked at the Rutgers Community Health Center where she provided oversight for performance improvement program initiatives, directed marketing and outreach activities, and served as liaison to support student placements and experiences. Prior to returning to the School of Nursing, she worked as Project Coordinator (2012-2015) at Healthcare Quality Strategies, Inc. in East Brunswick. In this position she oversaw various healthcare consulting and quality improvement initiatives across the state of New Jersey. In 2007, Ms. Bungs joined the School of Nursing (University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) in 2007 as Staff Assistant for the Global HIV Program within the François-Xavier Bagnoud (FXB) Center. In 2010, she transferred to the Dean’s office where she served as Executive Assistant to then, Dean Salmond. In her role with the Dean’s office, Ms. Bungs supported implementation of strategic initiatives and oversaw workplans to meet accreditation standards. Ms. Bungs has also worked at the New Jersey Medical School and other non-profit organizations over the years, including the Hunterdon County YMCA and CARES Foundation. Ms. Bungs earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Master of Public Health from Rutgers University.
