Barbara Sinacori, PhD, RN, CNE, is an Associate Professor and Interim Associate Dean, Entry to Baccalaureate Nursing program for faculty, staff, and students across the Rutgers campuses, providing academic leadership in curriculum development, student success, and program evaluation.

Dr. Sinacori teaches across core undergraduate nursing courses and has served as course leader for medical-surgical, foundations, and integrative health courses. Her teaching and scholarship focus on nursing education innovation, competency-based education, simulation, distance and blended learning, gerontology, and student learning outcomes. She has published in peer-reviewed journals, including Nursing Education Perspectives, Journal of Nursing Education, and Journal of Professional Nursing, and is actively engaged in funded, ongoing research on educational strategies, aging, and mental health.

A committed leader and servant scholar, Dr. Sinacori has held elected and appointed leadership roles within the Rutgers School of Nursing and the broader university, including Faculty Council leadership and service as a Rutgers University Senator. Nationally, she serves as Vice President of the Sigma Theta Tau International Alpha Tau Chapter and has held multiple leadership roles with the National League for Nursing, Eastern Nursing Research Society, and the New Jersey League for Nursing. Her work reflects a sustained commitment to excellence in nursing education, faculty governance, mentorship, and professional service.
