About Us

Mission & Function

Our mission is to support School of Nursing faculty, staff, and students. Our areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

  • Oversight of all faculty and staff personnel services
  • Faculty appointment
  • Reappointment
  • Promotion review and tenure process
  • Faculty recruitment across all programs
  • Advisement relative to the dynamic and complex organizational structure of the School of Nursing

We also advise with regard to hiring and discipline within the school, compliance of faculty and staff matters, and orientation of new faculty and administration.

The Office has understanding of the policies and procedures of the nine unions representing SON faculty and staff while maintaining relationships with appropriate departments across the university.
