Dr. Easley began her nursing career in the United States Air Force, where she spent 8 years as an active-duty RN. She is a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor for Rutgers School of Nursing Entry to Baccalaureate Division. She received her post-master’s DNP from Rutgers University and her Master of Science in Nursing Education and Faculty from Drexel University. She maintains certification as a Clinical Nurse Educator, Inpatient Obstetrics, Electronic Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring, and instructor for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. She is a member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), the American Nurse Association (ANA), the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), and the National League for Nursing (NLN). She has presented at the AWHONN National Convention on the ethical issues nurses face at a community hospital and her most recent publication addressed the use of active teaching strategies in synchronized remote clinical settings during COVID-19. Dr. Easley’s passion is caring for the birthing person infant dyad and the factors that exist in healthcare leading to an increase in morbidity and mortality.
