Dr. Huang is a 2019 graduate of our Nurse Anesthesia BS to DNP Program and more recently, half-time faculty. He currently practices as a CRNA at Newark Beth Israel and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Centers where he delivers safe, personalized care for individuals requiring anesthesia.

Prior to earning his doctoral degree at Rutgers, Dr. Huang earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University, associate’s degree in nursing at Bergen Community College, and bachelor’s degree in nursing at Thomas Edison State University. While a student in our nurse anesthesia program, Dr. Huang was awarded DNP Nurse Anesthesia Student of the Year and his DNP project poster was selected for presentation at the Assembly of Didactic and Clinical Educators Conference.

In his half-time faculty role, Dr. Huang has taught Acute and Chronic Pain Management and Anesthetic Management for Common Procedures Part I and has been actively involved with the Nurse Anesthesia program, teaching a variety of skills/skills labs ranging from basic pre-operative assessment to central line and double lumen endotracheal tube placement. Dr. Huang strives to grow his knowledge and skill as a nurse educator and share his experience and expertise as a CRNA with our students to ensure they provide evidence-based, effective, compassionate care.
