Dr. Waszak has been an RN for 30 years and is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Advanced Practice and Executive Director of the New Jersey Collaborating Center for Nursing (NJCCN). She is also a board-certified nurse educator and occupational health nurse-specialist. Some of her former roles include Assistant Director of NJCCN, Associate Dean and Associate Professor with Felician University School of Nursing, and Manager with Pfizer Global Occupational and Environmental Health. She serves as a member of the Vizient Nurse Residency Program Advisory Board, Organization of Nurse Leaders – New Jersey Advocacy Committee, and Marketing and Communications, as well as the Federal Government Regulations Committees with the National Nursing Workforce Center.
At Rutgers, she is a member of the Climate Action Group at Rutgers Health and a member of two Rutgers Nursing faculty committees: the Evaluation Committee and Mentoring Committee. She is also Chair of Leadership Succession for the Alpha Tau Chapter of Sigma and Immediate Past President for the Alpha Beta Chi Chapter of Sigma.
