Description

This course is designed for critical care physicians, APPs and includes practical applications in basic vascular, lung/abdominal, and cardiac ultrasonography. The course focuses on the hands-on applications as well as image interpretation. 

Objectives

Upon completion of this course participants will be better able to:

  1. Discuss the knowledge base required to perform critical care ultrasonography.
  2. Incorporate the interpretation skills required for taking critical care ultrasonography into frontline management of the ICU.
  3. Perform 4 basic cardiac windows in Point of Care Ultrasound. Evaluate qualitative evaluation of LV EF, RV diameter, and IVC variability.
  4. Evaluate pleural, abdominal, vascular access.
  5. Interpret image-based clinical cases.

Method of Participation

In order to meet the learning objectives and receive continuing education credit, participants are required to sign in, complete 100% of the course, and complete the online evaluation form at the conclusion of the course. A letter certifying attendance and credit certification will be emailed to participants upon completion of the online evaluation survey.
