Carmen G. Pelardis, MSN, RN, CNE, is an Instructor in the Division of Simulation and Clinical Learning at Rutgers School of Nursing. With more than 25 years of combined clinical and academic experience, she specializes in simulation-based learning, nursing education, and evidence-based teaching strategies that support student learning and professional development. She facilitates simulation experiences across the New Brunswick and Newark campuses and is committed to advancing excellence in nursing education.
Ms. Pelardis’s scholarly interests include simulation-based learning, nursing workforce development, nurse faculty role transition, faculty development, and advancing nursing education. Her work focuses on supporting the development and retention of nurse educators and exploring strategies that strengthen teaching effectiveness and improve student learning outcomes.
She earned her BSN from Rutgers University and her MSN from Kean University, with concentrations in Clinical Management and Transcultural Nursing. She also completed a post-master’s certificate in Nursing Education at Rutgers University. Ms. Pelardis is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and is currently enrolled in the PhD in Nursing program at Rutgers University. She serves on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey League for Nursing and on the Mentorship Committee of the Rutgers School of Nursing Alumni Association.
