Dr. Tony Forrester is a professor at Rutgers School of Nursing and a clinical professor at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
A widely known scholar with more than 40 years of nursing experience, Dr. Forrester has published extensively in nursing and other disciplines on a wide range of topics, including HIV/AIDS, critical care family needs, gender-related health, health care policy, mentoring and leadership development in nursing, and nursing history. He is the author of Nursing’s Greatest Leaders: A History of Activism, published by Springer Publishing.
Dr. Forrester is a fellow in the National League for Nursing’s Academy of Nursing Education and a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. He recently served as the leader for eight international expert faculty members in the Sigma Theta Tau International Nurse Faculty Leadership Academy.
Dr. Forrester earned his PhD in research and theory development in nursing from New York University; his MSN from the University of Texas at Arlington; and his BSN from the University of Texas System School of Nursing
