Through a joint appointment between Rutgers School of Nursing and University OB/GYN Associates at University Hospital, Ms. Jennifer Winter, MSN, APN, WHNP-BC, MBA serves as faculty and Specialty Director for the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program.

Ms. Winter holds Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Rutgers University), Master of Science in Nursing (Columbia University), and Master of Business Administration (Golden Gate University) degrees. Currently, she is enrolled in the PhD in Nursing Program at Pace University.

Ms. Winter has worked in various women’s health and obstetrical/gynecological settings. She began her career as a nurse practitioner at University OB/GYN Associates. She then served as Vice President for Patient Services (Central NJ) followed by Vice President of Medical Services (Golden Gate, CA) at Planned Parenthood. In 2010, Ms. Winter returned University OB/GYN Associates where she maintains a robust clinical practice. She has precepted nurse practitioner students from Columbia, Yale, and Rutgers Universities and since 2021 and per diem faculty for our Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwifery, and Women’s Health Nurse Midwifery students.  

Prior to an academic setting or women’s health clinic, Ms. Winter served The United Stated Air Force Reserves as a Medical Service Technician from 1989 to 1997. During that time, Ms. Winter was activated to full-time duties for Operation Desert Storm (1991) and was promoted to Second Lieutenant (1995-1997).
