All Students – Step 1

Orientation Events: Rutgers School of Nursing LEAP Newark Campus Orientation

July 22, 2022 – Meet Your Academic Deans and Peer Mentors.

This session is mandatory for all incoming nursing students.
It is scheduled on July 22^th from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Rutgers School of Nursing.

All Students – Step 2

Set up your accounts and email

IMPORTANT: The following items are important to complete prior to the Fall semester. If you have trouble accessing or using any of these, please see the Student Computing page.

• School Email – Important: sn.rutgers.edu is the official e-mail account for the School of Nursing, not Scarletmail. Please make sure that sn.rutgers.edu is your default email. Go to Manage email addresses. Select your “@sn.rutgers.edu” as the default email. Access your sn.rutgers.edu email at connect.rutgers.edu.
  
  How to access School of Nursing email
  Go to connect.rutgers.edu
  Enter your School of Nursing Email YourNetID@sn.rutgers.edu
  Enter the password associated with your NetID
  Set the time zone
• Net ID – Follow steps in Enrollment Pathway, but bring your NetID and password with you to Orientation
• MyRutgers Student Portal – Students manage their student accounts and access many of the school services through their student portal. We call it “myRutgers,” located at my.rutgers.edu
• Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) – Each student is required to have their own personal computer or mobile device. Bring a wireless device (phone, iPad, laptop, etc.) to make sure you can connect to the Rutgers Systems (don’t forget your charger).

All Students – Step 3

Access campus services

• Rutgers University ID (if you have not already completed this in Enrollment Pathway)
  It is required that all students have an ID card prior to the start of classes.
  
  Use the form on this website to submit a photo. ** Please make sure to submit your photo prior to Orientation**  See website.
• Academic Support and Tutoring – View the OAS orientation presentation
• Parking – For information on campus parking please view the parking website
  Students cannot complete the parking process/request a permit, until they are registered for Fall 2022 classes.
