Day of the Exam

You are required to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the exam. Please note that timely attendance is vital to the success of this program. Exams are time sensitive and essential to degree completion. Failure to arrive on time for your exam assignment may result in dismissal.

Once you arrive, check in with the course instructor. Be sure to use the restroom before the exam begins.

Administering the Exam

Make sure the student is present and on time, and confirm their identity by checking their student ID or driver’s license. Ask the student to verbally confirm the name of the course they’re taking the exam for. Instruct the student to leave their coat, backpack, and cellphone with you.

Read the general instructions along with any special instructions out loud to the student. Once the student is ready, give the student the exam password and instruct the student to begin the exam. Do not leave the student alone while they are taking the exam.

At the conclusion of the exam, collect any scrap pieces of papers or other exam materials and complete the proctor exam report.

Students

Bring photo identification to your exam, like your student ID or driver’s license.

Be sure to use the restroom before the exam begins.

You must leave your coat, backpack, cellphone, and other personal belongings with the proctor at the door. Unless specified otherwise by your instructor, you will not be allowed to have any notes, textbooks, reference materials, or manuscripts while taking your exam.

You’ll have the amount of time specified in your letter of accommodation. When you’re finished taking the exam, you must return all testing materials including scrap paper to the proctor.
