School of Nursing Peer Mentorship Program

The Peer Mentorship Mission

The Peer Mentor program will promote academic and personal success for the nursing student population at the Rutgers School of Nursing by creating an environment of support and scholarship through mentorship.

Peer Mentors - 2018-2019

About the Program

Coming to a new place can be difficult, but the Peer Mentors make the transition easier than you could have imagined!

Not everyone can be a Peer Mentor, but those who are selected love what they do. Their job is to help new students find their way to their classes, figure out where to locate the best places to eat, and learn more about how to navigate the online tools.

Every new student is assigned to a Peer Mentor. Peer Mentors will contact their assigned mentees by e-mail prior to the start of the semester.  Once the mentees arrive on campus, their Peer Mentor groups will begin meeting starting the first week of classes!  By the end of your first semester, Mentees will feel more acclimated to their new life as a nursing student!
