RCON Research

For more than half a century, research has been the bedrock and lifeblood of the Rutgers College of Nursing. Our faculty members are passionate, adventurous, curious and committed to the discovery of knowledge that broadens society's understanding of human health and illness, as well as the role nursing plays in promoting health and a higher quality of life. For this reason, College of Nursing students are not just exposed to the research process early in their nursing education - they are invited to participate in it!

This commitment to research is integral to classroom teaching and our service to the community. Therefore, nursing students in the baccalaureate, masters or doctoral programs learn research methodologies, and conduct research independently or in collaboration with faculty. The results of this investigative work are then translated into nursing practice in a variety of clinical settings. As a result, our world-class faculty has been awarded a substantial amount of funding for research in recent years.

If you feel called to a career that guarantees a lifetime of research and discovery, or want to explore the role curiosity plays in the development of health cures and nursing practices, we encourage you to apply for admission today!
