Parking Info: There is limited public parking on the street or at metered spaces. There are 3 parking decks available on the Newark Health Sciences campus (for a fee). Parking deck P3 is closest to the Bergen Bldg.

Rutgers University ID
It is required that all students have an ID badge prior to the start of classes. Please visit the Public Safety/ID Office located at 30 Bergen Street, Building 5, room 531. The office hours are Monday through Friday, 9am – 3pm (Closed for lunch from 12-1pm). You need to bring a valid photo identification (e.g. driver’s license or passport) in order to have your ID picture taken.
Parking (with a decal)
Parking is available in the parking lot behind the SSB, 65 Bergen Street building. You cannot park in spaces that have the signage: RESERVED, GUARANTEED or Children’s Creative Learning Center (CCLC) or your vehicle will be ticketed or towed. Once you receive a NetID, you can purchase a parking decal by visiting the parking website.
All incoming nursing students are “block registered” for courses by the Office of Enrollment Services. You will not self-register for Fall 2017 semester courses.
You will receive a textbook list and more information at the New Student Orientation.
If you have comparable health insurance to the Rutgers sponsored plan, and do not wish to purchase insurance, you must complete a waiver that can be submitted online, or you will be automatically billed for coverage. View more information.
You may request transfer of academic credits for course work completed at another accredited institution. Up to six transfer credits for non-clinical courses may be applied with the approval of the Program Director. Courses must have been completed no more than five years prior to request for transfer. Grades must be at least a “C+” or above. Students must fill out and submit the attached Request for Transfer Credit Form as well as a complete syllabus. The syllabus must include the course description, course objectives, and content outline for the course(s). A copy of the Transfer Credit Request form is attached to this correspondence.
