CDC: Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices

CDC July 29, 2005 The CDC released its 2005 recommendations for the Prevention and Control of Influenza on July 29, 2005. Primary changes and updates in the recommendations included:

all individuals with any condition that can compromise respiratory function be vaccinated against influenza
all health care workers should be vaccinated against influenza annually
use of both vaccines (inactivated and LAIV) is encouraged for eligible individuals every influenza season.
