Newark and New Brunswick Campuses
The College of Nursing Learning Resource Center (LRC) provides essestinal support for the instructional and clinical components of the curriculum. The College's Learning Resource Centers provide an excellent opportunity for independent learning, self and mediated instruction, computer-based instruction, and the practice of nursing skills. The learning laboratories, designed to replicate realistic practice settings are equipped with manikins and simulators. Videos, computer assisted instructional software and other interactive software are also available.
The nursing skills laboratories are located at 1 Richardson Street and 17 Bartlett Street on the New Brunswick campus and in Ackerson Hall on the Newark campus.
Open laboratory times are available for individual practice and study. Skill acquisition requires hands-on practice and students are expected to use these times to achieve skill competency. Course syllabi indicate available audio-visual learning modules to assist students in their learning.
The learning labs have both scheduled classes and flexible times that are available for students practice and remediation. Lab hours are posted every semester.
