Registration for independent study is limited to juniors and seniors who have taken lower division nursing courses, have identified a faculty mentor who will oversee the project, and have obtained the academic dean's approval. Students are limited to three (3) credits of independent study in the program. Students may elect to complete the three credits in one term or take one (1) or two (2) credits a semester until the three credit limit is attained.
Students are required to fill out the independent study form and submit it with accompanying documents as outlined to the Office of the Assistant Dean for the Undergraduate Program.Internships
Internships do not receive academic credit. College of Nursing students only may receive credit for unpaid internships with prior approval from the academic dean.If you have any questions about an internship opportunity which becomes available to you, please speak with a dean.
