Monday, March 5, 2012 - Annual College of Nursing Career Fair

Please note that our annual College of Nursing Career Fair will take place on Monday, March 5, 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Paul Robeson Campus Center. The annual event is sponsored by the Career Development Center (CDC) on the Newark campus.  The CDC works throughout the entire academic year to cultivate relationships with healthcare organizations interested in hiring our students – Only those organizations looking to hire are invited to this event.  To date, there are a number of organizations who have committed to exhibiting at the career fair – We expect many more over the next few weeks.

At the event, we hope to have members of the College of Nursing Alumni Association with information on how to get involved – In addition, our representative from Herff Jones will be present to take orders for Rutgers College of Nursing pins.  Outside of the career fair, there will be a table setup with Student Services staff available to answer any questions you have about graduation and the programs surrounding graduation.

It is important to note that this event is mandatory for senior students on both campuses.  As we approach that day, students will receive reminders from the Office of Student Services, however, it is your responsibility to take any necessary action to be sure that you are there.

Parking

If you currently possess a Rutgers parking pass from New Brunswick, you should park in “Parking Deck 1”  – Just past Ackerson Hall on University Ave. Once you park, you should speak to the parking manager at the bottom of the deck to let him know that you need a “yellow card” which will allow for you to be charged the amount set for students who have paid an annual fee for campus parking. The adjusted amount of $4.25 will be charged to you at the end of your stay – Please note that this is the amount paid by Newark Students who possess an annual parking pass at the end of each stay.  You should keep this “yellow card” for future use on your trips to the Newark campus.  Please note that you can use this “yellow card” in any of the decks, but I suggested parking in Deck 1 because there is always a parking manager there during the day to supply you with the card.

If you currently do not possess a Rutgers parking pass, you would need to either use metered parking or pay the full amount for the deck ($12) – These would be the same options you would have if you were to park at the New Brunswick location.
