for Using Technology for Teaching and Learning »
Technology has changed the way we teach and how students learn. This workshop will provide participants with the latest information on the use of technology in healthcare education. The use of iPads, mobile phones (apps), virtual reality (avatars), eBooks, social media, and electronic patient records will be discussed and demonstrated. The emphasis will be on engaging the student in learning and having them be interactive. Participants will learn how to assist students in retrieving accurate information quickly, and to determine what is credible, relevant, and up-to-date from that which is not. There will be interactive experiences for participants as well as a variety of demonstrations. Who should attend: Anyone who is teaching in healthcare including physicians nurses, pharmacists, social workers, staff development, and all educators!
