Call for Alumni Board Nominations for 2017-2019
& "Hold the Date" notice of Annual Meeting June, 10, 2017
Rutgers School of Nursing (RSON) Alumni Association will hold its election for new members to serve as an officer of the Executive Board or as Committee Chair.
The Executive Board is the elected board of the RSON Alumni Association responsible for setting the strategic direction for the Association, managing its business and financial affairs and providing leadership for all the Association’s activities and endeavors. Members serve either one-year or two year terms. Committee Chairs are selected by the Executive officers.
Alumni interested in a position as officer on the Executive Board or Committee Chair must complete and submit the RSON nomination form by the deadline date of May 12, 2017. A slate of Board candidates will be presented at the annual meeting and officers elected by simple majority vote. Alumni are encouraged to self-nominate.

Please "Hold the Date" for the Rutgers School of Nursing Alumni Association Annual Meeting scheduled on Saturday, June 10, 2017 for a brunch starting at Time: 10am. Keynote Speaker is Dr. Susan Hassmiller, Senior Nursing Advisor at Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the RSONAA recipient of the 2016 President’s Award. The meeting will take place at Spring Brook Country Club. The address of the building is 9 Spring Brook Road, Morristown, New Jersey, 07960. Immediately following the annual meeting, all RSON alumni are invited to attend the Rutgers University-RSONAA Alumni Golf Outing. More information to follow regarding registration for the Golf Outing if interested.

2015 Rutgers School of Nursing Alumni Awards: Cocktail and Dinner Reception
The Annual Rutgers School of Nursing Alumni Association (RSONAA) was a huge success with over 85 alumni, Rutgers School of Nursing faculty and Staff, friends and family enjoying the celebrations and networking.

Linda Flynn, PhD, RN, FAAN received the 2015 RSONAA Outstanding Alumni Award! Dr. Flynn, the first PhD graduate from the Rutgers College of Nursing, is currently is professor & Associate Dean Academic programs at the University of Colorado College of Nursing.
Maria Molina, MSN, APN-C, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, CCRN was honored with the 2015 Rising Star Award. Since graduation from the MSN program, Maria has been working at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as a heart failure/transplant nurse practitioner.
We continued to celebrate excellence as we awarded current students well deserved honors:
• Caruso Family Scholarship of $1,000 to Shaakira Abdul Razzaq
• Elizabeth Fenlason Awards of $4,000 each to Mark Karasin and Myrto McNeil
• RSONAA Scholarship of $1,000 to April Ancheta
• Scarpa Memorial Scholarship of $1,000 to Joyce Hertzog
