2018 Rising Alumni Award
The Rutgers School of Nursing Rising Star Award is conferred on a graduate of the undergraduate or graduate program who graduated from the RSON within the past 10 years and continues to exemplify nursing excellence in her/his career:
• Excellence in Clinical Practice
• Nursing Education
• Nursing Management
• Nursing Administration
• Advancement of the Profession and/or the School of Nursing

Alumni Student Scholarships
Caruso Family Scholarship
The Caruso Family Scholarship was established in 2015 and is open to full time undergraduate, graduate or part time graduate students based on academic merit and financial need. The student recipient is to maintain a 3.2 GPA. To be eligible, a student must have successfully completed 50% of the nursing program. Based on availability of funds, scholarship awards may be renewed for up to three years (or four if in a five year program), provided that the student maintains eligibility. The award amount will be $1,000 per year and only one student recipient will be chosen each year.
RSONAA Scholarship Award
The Rutgers School of Nursing Alumni Scholarship is a competitive scholarship awarded to students who are dedicated to their education and pursuit of nursing excellence. Students must be a currently admitted/enrolled student at Rutgers School of Nursing in the BS, MSN, Post-Masters, DNP, or PhD program. These scholarships will be awarded to students who have expressed excellence and leadership both inside and outside of the classroom.
Scarpa Family Memorial Scholarship
The Scarpa Family Memorial scholarship was founded in 2010 is open to all Rutgers School of Nursing students currently admitted/enrolled in the BS, MSN, Post-Masters, DNP, or PhD program. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has completed at least 50% of the program and maintains a 3.4 GPA. The applicant should reflect a desire toward patient advocacy and leadership especially in the area of palliative care. The award amount will be $1,000 per year and one student recipient will be chosen each year.
