  • All applications and materials must be submitted by April 11, 2024
  • Decision Letters will be sent by April 19, 2024
  • Students will receive “Conditional Acceptance” pending successful completion of the HESI A2 Exam
  • Further information regarding the HESI A2 Exam will be provided to all Conditionally Admitted students
  • This cohort will have Rutgers Nursing courses during the Summer 2025 semester.

Admission Criteria

Our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in Blackwood is affiliated with Camden County College (CCC). To apply to this program, you must have either an associate of science degree or 60 undergraduate prerequisite credits required for a BS in Nursing. Applications are due to April 11, 2024 during your final year at Camden County College or before completing your 60 undergraduate prerequisite credits.

GPA

The preferred GPA for this program is a 3.3 out of 4.0.  The minimum required GPA for full consideration is a 3.0.  Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 will not be considered, and their applications will not be reviewed.”. If you are interested in the program but do not meet the preferred GPA, you are still encouraged to apply, but should keep in mind that the rest of your application materials will have higher importance.

Transcript & Coursework

Although an unofficial transcript is enough for the initial round of application review, you’ll need to submit your official transcript when you apply through the Rutgers University Undergraduate Admissions Application, and upon enrollment into the Rutgers School of Nursing.

Lab Science CoursesYou may repeat lab science courses, but this detail will be considered in your application review.
HPE-181 Basic Life SupportYou must be enrolled in this course during your last spring semester at CCC.
Microbiology or Chemistry II Only one of these courses can be the only science course left incomplete when you submit your application.

Additional Course Requirements

  • Incoming students are required to complete an Introduction to Anthropology course as well as Literature Elective course for graduation from the 2+2 BSN program upon matriculation.  These two courses are not prerequisite requirements for admission to the 2+2 BSN program, though they are required for graduation from Rutgers School of Nursing.  Students should speak with Camden County College advisement for specific course options.
  • Students who wish to apply for the Fall 2024 semester should enroll in the Introduction to Anthropology course and Literature Elective course in Summer 2024, prior to entry into the 2+2 BSN program, to meet these curriculum requirements.  Students who are unable to enroll in classes in Summer 2024 may complete an Introduction to Anthropology course and Literature Elective course upon matriculation into the 2+2 program with approval from their advisor at Rutgers School of Nursing.
